I'll be honest — I never thought I'd be writing a love letter to a karabiner, yet here we are.
I work in soft play installations, which means I spend an uncomfortable amount of time clipping myself to padded and wrapped steel frameworks at height, trying not to think too hard about what's keeping me up there. My old hooks had other ideas — turns out they had no interest in fitting around anything thicker than a pencil, leaving me doing a sort of elaborate lanyard origami every time I needed to get some work done.
